Sekaf Ghana Ltd is a major African producer and exporters of tropical raw materials mainly of agricultural produce. We specialize in the production of cold press and traditionally made unrefined shea butter, shea oil and the exportation of shea nuts.

Our Operations

Sekaf Ltd buys products at the farm gates in the harvest season. The products are inspected, graded and packaged in ton sacks and loaded into trucks to the port of origin (700km) Our customers are primarily Indian importers and Ghanaian wholesalers who process the high-quality nuts for export to Europe and North America.

Company History

Its main business is the production of unrefined Shea Butter, exports and wholesale of tropical agricultural raw materials. Two high school classmates, saw the need to use world-class customer service, information technology and marketing to buy farm produce from farm gates in Africa, prepare them and then export to international importers. It is currently operating at maximum capacity.

Company Locations and Facilities

The Sekaf Ltd's main office is located in Tamale, Northern Region of Ghana. The main warehouse is located in Tamale. The warehouse has the capacity to prepare approximately 10000 tons of exportable products. A proposed new warehouse and preparation facility site is also located in the Bolgatanga. The new facility will have the capacity to prepare 12000 tons for exportation and 12,000 tons for storage. The proposed facility will also house an office and personal accommodation.

Distribution Patterns

All of the products produced for exportation by Sekaf Ltd and approximately eighty-five percent of all products produced for exportation in Ghana is shipped from Tema Port of Ghana. Prepared products is shipped via truck from the Sekaf warehouse or farm gates in the buying district to a warehouse in Tema, Ghana. From the Tema port it is then shipped, in 20-foot or 40-foot containers to the destination port via cargo ship. Sekaf Ltd assumes distribution arrangement up to the arrival of the shipments in Port of departure.

Competition and Buying Patterns

The purchase decision for our customer is based on trust in our process and quality assurance. We have established relationships with our customers, which extend beyond that of the buyer/seller relationship. Our Products are priced up to 15 percent lower than similar products. This is the result of their success in the marketplace with our products and services.

Because Sekaf Ltd buys at the farm gates; the price of our products are lower fifteen percent than the market average.
